The story of this extravagant cat owes its origin to the fantasy of the writer Giovanni Francesco Straparola. A boy son of an old miller from whom he inherited the little cat. Knowing how to speak and keeping his feline skills the cat with boots will manage in a short time to win the graces of the king and, subsequently deceiving and eating the ogre Ezekiel will even be able to give to his master what was before of the vain ogre. So the young son, strong of his possessions, presents himself to the court to take the king’s daughter in marriage. The astute feline accomplished his mission can finally take off his boots and lie down on his beloved pillows.
