Pinocchio donkey, large terracotta puppet made up of five articulated pieces decorated by hand and dressed in light green cotton (from the series The Adventures of Pinocchio). Pinocchio as we all know was a lying and disrespectful puppet. Returning from school, instead of heading home as he should have done, despite the adversary advice of the talking cricket, a party of cheering boys who went to the land of toys followed; place where children could do anything they wanted. There Pinocchio made friends with Lucignolo, the two ate sweets as much as they could and had a lot of fun. But soon they discovered that the listless and rude boys who ended up in that country were turned into donkeys.
