Description
Blue Fairy, large puppet dressed in cotton fabrics, composed of five jointed and hand-decorated terracotta pieces (from the series The Adventures of Pinocchio). The blue fairy is one of the good characters in the story of Pinocchio narrated by the Florentine writer Collodi. She is a turquoise-haired girl who together with the talking cricket tries on many occasions to “straighten” the life of the little pinocchio. She will even become the mother and the puppet will promise her not to tell lies and to want to finish school. Before that happens, there are many rubbish that the puppet will perform, paying each time with severe punishments. Finally the fairy, given the puppet’s positive attitudes, manages with magic to transform him into a flesh-and-blood child, just as he had always wanted.
